A short guide to Fallen Earth Creationism

Fallen Earth Creationism (FEC) is a theological model for reading Genesis alongside the scientific history of the universe. Its central proposal is that Genesis 1–3 describes a real original creation that God called “very good,” a historical Adam and Eve, and a real Fall. The cosmos available to scientific investigation is the resulting fallen order.

On this view, the Big Bang, geological deep time, biological evolution, suffering, predation, and extinction belong to the history of the fallen creation. They do not describe the original unfallen order. The Fall is causally prior to that scientific history, even if it cannot be placed at an earlier date within the scientific timeline itself.

This is a theological and metaphysical proposal, not a scientific theory and not a doctrine essential to Christian salvation. It attempts to preserve both the seriousness of the Genesis account and the legitimacy of careful scientific inquiry.
